If I Was A Fading Rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

I’d have my own brands

Start new trends

And drive in fancy cars

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

I’d fix my chin

Repair my skin

And make it glow like a star

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

I’d meet my chums

Drink and chew gums

And make fun of who we are

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

I’d cheat on my wife

Waste my life

As I blow off another cigar

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

I’d get divorced

Or rather be enforced

Alimony would leave a scar

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

I’d be bankrupt

And out of luck

Pay my bills by selling guitars

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

If I was a fading rockstar

I’d be old and grey

To Jesus, I’d pray

And wish that life was less bizarre

If I was a fading rockstar

  1. I like how the poem goes from good to bad, without really transitioning. The rhyme always makes things sound a lot more whimsical. : )
