Pitter-patter

The window makes a hideous sound
Pitter-patter
I never liked the rain come down
Pitter-patter

The sound of feet running for cover
Pitter-patter
Drops of rain like tears fall all over
Pitter-patter

It falls down so heavily on me
Pitter-patter
My tears are lost on thee
Pitter-patter

The window makes a hideous sound
Pitter-patter
I never liked the rain come down
Pitter-patter

  1. Funny, the rain is the common topic of poems these days.. I have mine but its in our local dialect entitled “Salimoang” (Quandary) https://pinoypassionistablog.com/2016/06/23/salimoang/
I was just in quandary having fever and trapped in the rain, but still in the office… Didnt expect it would turn out to be a poem of someone who is in an intersection.. and doesn’t know where to go =)
So he tells the rain to just go on or stop and him to proceed or just stay put ..but ask the question “asa ko padung” ..where am I going =)
