Just Another Day

Just another day for me, just another day for you

Feeling lonely and blue

Should be ecstatic, excited and over the moon too

Feels like I’m over fifty-two

But I’ve just turned twenty-two

  1. Hooray, hooray, I’m 48!
    For 49, I just can’t wait!

Sorry, I’m pretty awful at poetry. I was feeling a bit fed up about approaching 50, but I’ve decided to try and embrace it since there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot I can do to change it. 😀

  2. I remember years like that. And then, somewhere, there are times when everything turns and the world feels fresh, anew, delightful. Sometimes, when this happens (say an evening of dancing or a good hike), it helps to remember to take a couple of Ibuprofen afterward. In the meantime, keep on truckin’!

      1. One day at a time, Frank. Putting one foor in front of the other. Finding one thing to be grateful for each day. Crying your real tears without wallowing. Laughing as much as you can. And growing into the sixty-year-old Frank Solanki NOBODY ELSE can ever be.
